Food Omens
So ... we are expecting another child. Though we are still in the early stages and high risk, we are excited about the prospect. The funny thing is that Jennifer keeps opening double-yolked eggs. Are those crazy "free-range" chickens trying to tell us something about potential twins?

Just Keep Swimming
Ahhhh .... Sydney. As in 42 Wallaby Way Sydney -- the place which Marlin and Dory journeyed to find and rescue Nemo. At least that's what my kids think about when they think of Sydney.
Jen and I think of a cosmopolitan, urban, cultural capital of Australia with heaps of places to explore. We enjoyed seeing the opera house, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and other 'touristy' sights. We left on Boxing Day afternoon and drove through the rain to stay the night in Tamworth. Here is our route.

Korea in Winter
I spent 10 days in Seoul -- in December. It was cold!!!!! Seoul is a very big city and has lots to offer. The people that I work with in Seoul are all outstanding and make it fun to travel. The picture at the top of the post is from the Myeong-Dong tourist shopping district. One of my Korean colleagues who has been to Brisbane refers to this area as the "Queen Street Mall" of Seoul. I saw a Dunkin' Donuts store in the area and ducked in for a couple of donuts and hot chocolate.
My colleague and I went to the top of Seoul's Namsan Tower for dinner. The food was okay ($$$$) but the view was amazing. A 'memorable' part of the experience was using the restroom in the observatory.
And the view from the relief station:

USA Trip
We took 'home leave' to the US in November/December. It was great to have Thanksgiving holiday with the Sandberg family in Oregon. We were also able to see K&R in SoCal along with their kids. It was great fun to reconnect with family and friends back in the United States.

My Small Stack of Plates
So, I've been thinking about being more regular with the blogging thing to keep a record of our life and experiences. I don't think that the other blog thing was working very well for anyone.
With that in mind, I'm going to start this thing to write a record of my "journeyings in the wilderness".
